FJ&A staff play an important role in support of NES' GIS capabilities

In 2000 NES began the migration of their GIS from ArcInfo 7.2.1 and ArcStorm to ArcGIS 8.x and an enterprise Geodatabase (Oracle 8.1.6). FJ&A staff assisted in the design, development, and implementation of the custom ArcGIS 8.x editing application called Geodatabase Maintenance Application (GMA).

GMA is an enhancement of ArcGIS/ArcInfo/ArcMap using Visual Basic and ArcObjects. FJ&A staff assisted in the design and development of the NES Electric Geodatabase data model using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Visio Enterprise. This data model contains a Geometric Network, Feature Class Subtypes, Attribute Domains, Validation Rules, Connectivity Rules, and Feature Linked Annotation. FJ&A staff implemented and maintained the ArcSDE ArcGIS 8.x enterprise geodatabase within a multi-user editing and access environment.

In 2005 NES upgrades to ArcGIS 9.x versions of the ArcGIS suite of products. FJ&A led the migration efforts in upgrading the database, application framework ansd web tools.
